Miller Brewing Project

Miller Brewing Company has been a long-time customer of Frize Corporation, the pictures below show the progression of a tank foundation we completed for them. These 1,991,000-pound tanks are secured by over 200 shear pins and anchor bolts. Setting anchor bolts is never a task our field crews take lightly and round templates are even more challenging. These bolts have to be exact when the tank arrives, the planning, the templates, the pour day…nothing can be “close enough” …this is all precision work and no detail can be overlooked.

Along with the tank foundation, this project extended their fermentation corridor that houses the plumbing lines feeding the new tanks. The corridor had to be completely climate controlled, so it was covered with 4-inch foam insulation before the sheeting was installed. Due to the size and weight of this structure, along with the seismic requirements and reinforcements necessary, all structural steel had to be FEMA certified.
